Many people have become the followers of Saint Kabir Das after listening to his poems and dohas and made their life better than ever.

This can happen to you as well, your life can become better and more improved then now if you also listen to some of those dohas. The following part contains Kabir ke dohe in Hindi as well as in English along with their practical meaning and significance are also given which will make you understand how to improve your life and living standard.

Kabir’s famous Dohe

Some of the best Kabir’s Dohe are written below and their true meaning is taught as well. Read these, implement these and then improve your life.

Doha 1:

Bada Hua To Kya Hua, Jaise Ped Khajur.

Panthi Ko Chhaya Nahi, Phal Lage Ati Door.

This doha gives a beautiful message to all of us. It says “It does not matter any more that you are as big as a Palm Tree; if you cannot give fruits and shelter to a needy one.” This phrase conveys a message that your greatness does not come from height, length, money or property that you possess, but it comes from your kindness and the nature of helping everyone when you can.

Doha 2:

Bura Jo Dekhan main chalaa, bura na milya koi

Jo man khoja aapna, to mujhse bura na koi.

This verse says “when I travelled across the world to find a bad person, I failed, I did not find a bad person. But when I groped my own heart, I was the worst man on the earth.” This is among the best creations of Saint Kabir which tells that every person is imperfect in some manner, everyone is bad in many things, and everyone has some flaws. So, no one should punctuate anyone’s flaws until he or she has not overcome that flaw. A person should always try to find their own mistakes and flaws and then correct them. This makes you better than before.

Doha 3:

Dheere-Dheere re manaa, dheere sab kuchh hoye.

Maali Sinche sau ghada, ritu aae fal hoye.

This line tells “Oh my heart! keep patience, everything that happens in this word occurs in a slow manner and everything takes its own time. Just like the fruits will always be grown in their particular season, no matter if the gardener waters a 100 pots to the tree today in a different season.”

This verse says you to keep patience, everything has its own time to happen. You have to just work hard and wait for the right time when the fruits will shower in your life.

Doha 4:

Chinta Aisi Daakini, Kaat Kaleja khaae.

Vaidya Bechara Kya Kare, Kaha Tak Dawa Lagaae.

Kabir says “tension is such a night hag that gradually eats your mind, heart, and whole body. How is the poor doctor supposed to treat this disease and where is he supposed to apply for the medicine.” This is one of the vital Dohas of Saint Kabir who suggest you to not worry about anything and do not take tension. This is the disease which can not be treated by any doctor. It is only you who can avoid tension and depression. This thing also destroys your wit and intellect and destroys your power to take the right decisions as well.

Doha 5:

Kaal Kare so Aaj Kar, Aaj Kare So ab.

Pal mein parlay hoegi, bahuri karoge kb.

This verse says “Don’t leave your work on tomorrow and do it today, even do it right now, because apocalypse can occur the next moment or next hour and you would not be able to do anything.”

This verse is the most popular one and conveys a very practical message that does all your work right now do not leave it on the future because some other work or incident can interrupt it in future. If you want to be successful finish your work today and now.

Thus, these were some lessons from saint Kabir Das in form of Dohas which can improve your life drastically. But you need to implement them in your daily life. In short, be helpful to everyone if you can, work on your own flaws first, have patience, don’t take superfluous tension, and finish all of your work in the present time. If you do all these things, then for sure you are going to have a better life.
